After the Arrest Summit Helps Prisoners Transition into Community Life

BENTONVILLE, Ark. – Every month 200 people join the Northwest Arkansas community after being release from incarceration. 
That’s why community leaders are working together to give these men and women a second chance.

The After the Arrest Summit is a chance for ambassadors all over the country to collaborate on how to make life easier for a person transitioning from behind bars into the public eye. 

Everyone in attendance works directly with men and women who are incarcerated or recently freed from jail. 

This includes organizations such as Goodwill, Narcotics Anonymous, and Arkansas Community Correction. read more…

BENTONVILLE, Ark.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Today, Walmart announced that the company has hired more than 206,000 veterans and promoted more than 30,000 to roles with higher pay and greater responsibility since launching its Veterans Welcome Home Commitment in May 2013. The commitment guarantees a job offer to any eligible, honorably discharged U.S. veteran who has separated from service since the commitment was announced on Memorial Day 2013.
